We’re kicking off Yellow Social Month
This October, the yellow wave is crossing borders. To mark Prosegur’s 50th anniversary and align with the UN’s declaration of 2026 as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, the Prosegur Foundation has launched the Yellow Social Month.
This global corporate volunteering initiative is rolling out simultaneously in 10 countries, featuring 29 direct-impact projects. Under the slogan "50 years making the world a safer place," professionals from all of the company’s business lines are linking their talent and dedication to service, bringing the concept of safety to its most human, inclusive, and community-focused dimension.
A global kickoff full of energy and impact
During this first week, employees in Argentina, Colombia, and Honduras put on their yellow t-shirts to launch the first on-the-ground projects. These initial workdays have proven that protecting and caring for our communities is built on multiple fronts.
Argentina: Social inclusion and safe environments
In Buenos Aires, we came out with the "Safety without Barriers" workshop alongside Proyecto Vidax. Guided by our Prosegur volunteers, participants with intellectual disabilities learned about safe money management, cybersecurity, road safety, and CPR in an adapted, interactive environment.
Meanwhile, at the Escuela Precursora Cornelio Saavedra in Córdoba—part of our Piecitos Colorados Development Cooperation program—our professionals poured their energy into upgrading and improving the school yards. Their efforts ensure that students can enjoy a safe and stimulating learning environment. In addition, we donated recycled company equipment and provided a complementary training for their computer lab.
Colombia: Financial education
In Bogotá, students from the Eugenio Díaz Castro Educational Institution, a Piecitos Colorados-affiliated school, took part in the "Journey to the World of Money" workshop. This project was developed in partnership with our Prosegur Cash professionals and América Solidaria. Through playful dynamics and learning stations, the children discovered and learned key concepts about saving, budgeting, responsible spending, and how to identify counterfeit bills. Equipping them with these tools today, is the best way to secure their tomorrow.
Honduras: Safe spaces for the educational community
With the same goal in mind, the volunteer team in Tegucigalpa worked at the Sonia María Mejía school, another institution in our Piecitos Colorados program. Under the banner "My School is a Safe Environment," we transformed the outdoor spaces through cleanup tasks, building school gardens, and planting native trees. We also gave talks on confidence and personal safety, successfully transforming the school into a healthier, safer, and more suitable place to learn.
This is just the beginning
The first week has clearly demonstrated the commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers, who are taking safety far beyond our daily work. We still have several intense weeks ahead, packed with prevention, sustainability, and knowledge-sharing initiatives worldwide.
