Young Engineers, Great Mentors

Preparing future generations for the challenges of tomorrow requires actively fostering curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to solve practical problems in real-world environments. With this vision, we recently organized the "Guardians of Value" day at the Prosegur Cash facilities in Quito, Ecuador, bringing together learning, innovation, and family integration.

The activity was designed as an active response to this challenge. The main objective was to connect the our employees`children with the STEAM methodology in a playful, accessible, and human way, removing conceptual barriers and awakening the innate creative and innovative potential in them.
 

The rollout of this initiative, which featured the participation of a group of employees' children, was structured into two main phases combining basic theory, technological play, and discovering the transit of valuables.

Guided step-by-step by Prosegur Volunteers, the young participants faced an applied engineering challenge: designing and building a functional vehicle that could successfully coordinate the secure transport of cash within an interactive smart city model.

During this practical simulation, the attendees developed essential skills for their future, such as teamwork and problem-solving.

 

The children and their families had a unique experience discovering the inside of a state-of-the-art armored truck, interacting directly with the technology used for protecting and transporting valuables. Our professional volunteers explained the complexity of their daily work.

This event demonstrates that corporate volunteering goes far up and beyond a one-off action. It is about sharing our company's "know-how," building strong community bonds, and sowing the seeds of sustainable development in the minds of future professionals.
