Young People Leaving Their Mark

This summer, summer camps in Spain became something much bigger than a simple vacation. Our employees' sons and daughters put on the iconic yellow Prosegur Volunteers T-shirt with a clear objective: to be leaders of change and get fully involved in initiatives designed to create a real, positive, and lasting impact on both the environment and the community.

The youngest participants—who attended the camp organized alongside Escuelab—enjoyed a unique day combining scientific curiosity with direct service to nature.

Through interactive workshops and hands-on experiences, the children learned about natural cycles, the true impact of plastic waste on our ecosystems, and the urgent need to change our consumption habits. But the lesson didn't stop at theory:

• Action on the ground: Equipped with gloves and bags, the young volunteers went on a route to collect and sort waste in natural settings.
• A life lesson: Beyond the pounds of trash removed, the most valuable outcome was the shift in mindset. They discovered firsthand that no gesture is too small when it comes to protecting the planet.

With their enthusiasm and contagious energy, they proved to us once again that eco-consciousness knows no age.

Meanwhile, the older youth had the opportunity to take part in the Acciónate Program, a space designed specifically for the teenage years, where personal discovery and social development go hand in hand.

During the program—developed in collaboration with United World Colleges—participants enjoyed an unforgettable learning experience focused on:

• Self-knowledge and strengths: Identifying individual talents, boosting self-esteem, and teamwork.
• Soft skills development: Fostering empathy, assertive communication, problem-solving, and conscious leadership.

However, the crowning moment came with the practical application of these tools through a social volunteering initiative with deep emotional resonance.

After receiving initial training provided by the organization Mensajeros de la Paz, the young participants visited several senior living residences. The main goal was simply to offer their time, presence, and, above all, active listening.

Sincere conversations unfolded as life stories, laughs, and anecdotes were shared, building a true intergenerational bridge.

It was an exchange where age barriers completely dissolved: while the elderly felt accompanied and reconnected with youth, the teenagers returned home having learned life lessons not taught in textbooks—built on respect, patience, and mutual affection.
