Our Volunteering Program Strengthens in Central America!
At Prosegur Foundation, we believe in people and in their power to create changes that improve their communities. That’s why, this year, we have taken a new step in our Corporate Volunteering Program:
Thanks to the commitment of more than 80 dedicated Prosegur professionals, we have reached500 students in vulnerability situation through actions that included infrastructure improvements, technology donations, and training workshops aimed at reducing digital and social gaps.
Our approach was tailored to the needs of each community. It wasn’t just about delivering equipment or refurbishing spaces; our volunteers shared their time and knowledge with children and young people, bringing them closer to digital skills, reading, sustainability, and healthy habits in a practical and approachable way.
These activities truly strengthen the team, foster collaboration and help us get to know each other better. It’s very enriching to see how different areas and businesses participate and, together we manage to support not only the community but also ourselves, promoting that team culture that is so important for our company” Carlos Isidro, General Manager of Prosegur Cash in Central America.
This is how we experienced among the countries
In Guatemala, we have supported the Mariano Navarrete school, whose computer lab was damaged by an earthquake last July. We donated 15 computers, delivered a digital training session, and organized an environmental day where volunteers and the school community painted a mural about recycling and proper waste separation.
In El Salvador, we provided equipment and conducted a digital skills workshop that emphasized a responsible use of technology at the Cantón El Limón institution.
In Nicaragua, company professionals led a reading promotion day with read-aloud sessions, book donations, and the creation of reading trackers, along with traditional games that reinforced family integration.
In Honduras, the Sonia María Mejía School, part of our Piecitos Colorados Development Cooperation Program, inaugurated its computer lab equipped with technology donated by the company, where volunteers delivered digital literacy workshops. Additionally, activities related to reading and healthy eating linked to the school garden were carried out.
We continue moving forward with the conviction that volunteering transforms: those who receive it and those who carry it out. At Prosegur Foundation, we promote social projects in 14 countries across three continents, focusing on creating development opportunities and fostering pride in belonging to a company that puts people at the center. These first volunteering days in Central America are just the beginning.
