Cleaning to Transform!

After the success of our beach cleanup day at Challaku Mayllay (Peru) in 2025, in the Prosegur Foundation we reaffirm our commitment to the environmental preservation and the sustainable development of the communities where we operate.

That is why, this past June 13, a team of volunteer professionals from Lima returned to the Peruvian coastline to carry out a restoration and cleanup day at the iconic Costa Verde.

To ensure the collected waste didn't just end up in a traditional landfill—which merely moves the problem from the ocean to the land—we partnered with the Municipality of San Isidro and Sinba Sura, a Peruvian social enterprise dedicated to co-creating a waste-free world through circular economy models.

The Value of a Circular Economy

This second cleanup day alongside Sinba allowed us to fine-tune our workflow:

  • Hands-on Training: Sinba's experts team trained Prosegur volunteers on how to properly sort waste right at the point of collection, helping participants to differentiate efficiently and classify the materials.
  • Resource Recovery: Once the day ends,Sinba Sura processes the waste gathered, ensuring that recyclable materials are successfully reintegrated into production chains—turning trash into new resources and closing the sustainability loop.

Through these initiatives, we seek to foster an internal culture of awareness and collective action within the environment. The Costa Verde cleanup proves that when passionate professionals and strategic partners team up, positive impact multiplies.
