Governance and Transparency
Our Foundation is fully funded by the Company and has the support of its entire organisational structure to address its mission.
The direct management of the projects is in the hands of our local teams, with the support of the different Prosegur support units. This allows us to continuously monitor the use of financial resources, subject to a quarterly reporting procedure by the financial area. In addition, our work is monitored by the Internal Audit department at the global level and by external auditors at the local level.
As a company foundation, we share the same internal procedures as the rest of the areas; such as the preparation of triennial strategic plans, the 3P management system (Prosegur Policies and Processes) and the implementation of Competence Centres, for the exchange of good practices between geographies. In 2016 we strengthened two key elements of transparency and good governance: risk management and control of our activity in the different countries and the preparation of a Manual for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
