Holidays full of learning and fun

Thanks to the Lab Camp initiative, held during the month of June in the Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid), 52 children of our Prosegur Spain employees have learned about robotics, beekeeping and even how to paint on water! A fun and convivial experience in the middle of nature, in which the facilitators of our partner Escuelab have fostered their curiosity for science and its values.

In addition, through dynamic and experiential methodologies, more than 25 Colombian children have participated in the first "STEM Vacation Camp" in Bogota: an urban camp led by Lego EDUCATION professionals, where they have had their first contact with robotics and engineering in a fun way. Among the activities carried out, they have learned to build and operate fans, windmills, sweepers, amusement parks or lifts, all made with Lego pieces and huge doses of creativity!

Similarly, more than 35 children of Uruguayan employees were immersed in the world of robotics and programming through workshops that combined art, science and technology, as well as enjoying fun and sporting activities. With the help of programmable boards from Arduino and Micro:Bit, and Microsoft's MakeCode and TinkerCad platforms, they were able to create amazing projects!

In addition, we have offered young people from Portugal and Spain the opportunity to live a unique and transformative experience, hand in hand with an international educational reference. Together with CMU (Colegios del Mundo Unido), we organised the Acciónate programme: a 7-day course taught in English, in which participants developed key skills such as leadership, critical thinking and effective communication through projects, challenges and group discussions.

With this different holiday concept, we promote 21st century skills in young people in a playful way, while also promoting the values of coexistence and solidarity. Learning that will help them in their personal, professional and community spheres.
